Learn while you sleep!
Learning a foreign language while you sleep sounds like a dream, but it is true! Scientists, in a recent experiment discovered if you reviewed new vocabulary then played a recording of those words while you sleep you will be better able to identify and translate them later. The trick is to play a recording of words you’ve been exposed to earlier and set the audio to run the first two to three hours of sleep.
The reason behind this is when we are sleeping our brain activity slows down, allowing our brain to move things from our short-term memory to our long-term memory in our prefrontal cortex.
I guess it’s time to study my foreign language now. Goodnight!
What do you think? Do you think you can improve your language skills by sleeping?
