Here are a few of my favorite resources. Check them out!
Readlang.com – reads web pages, translates the words and makes flashcards.
ankisrs.net – Anki is a spaced repetition flashcard app. It allows you to create flashcards with sound, pictures, and pf course text.
Livemocha – online language lessons and ability to be involved with native speakers.
Byki.com – is a flash card interface that also tracks everything you learn, automatically presenting the appropriate material at just the right intervals
testyourvocab.com – Check this site out to see how many English words you know and should know. A native English speaker knows between 20,000 words – and 35,000 words. A non-native English speaker knows between 2,500 – 9000. How do you rank?
Lingua.ly – An app that lets you select vocabulary words you want to learn by finding them in the dictionary and then creating flashcards. It then uses the data to locate for you Spanish newspaper articles that contain them, along with other related terms you should learn.
Visual Dictionary– Use an online visual dictionary in the language you are learning to increase your vocabulary. For example: http://www.ikonet.com/es/
Wordreference.com – online dictionary with forums where you can solicit help from native speakers.
Parallel translation books – native tongue on one side, your target language on the other side.
